Suzuki Concept Kizashi 3

Suzuki finished its Kizashi concept trilogy at the 2008 New York International Auto Show by unveiling the Kizashi 3 four-door concept car. Each of the 3 Kizashi concepts has been closer to the eventual product than the last.

All images are downloadable 1920x1440 wallpapers of  Suzuki Concept Kizashi 3.

As its name means, the concept is the 3rd "Kizashi" show auto which will be exhibited beside Concept Kizashi and Concept Kizashi 2. So show visitors will get the chance to examine all 3 concepts and notice how the design has improved.

Concept Kizashi 3 is powered by a 3.6-liter V-6 engine that produces 300 horsepower. The six-speed automatic drive offers drivers the alternative of using paddle shifters or letting the computing device control the shifts. Given the current push for increased fuel saving, it would add up to offer a production edition of the Kizashi in front-wheel drive form in addition to as all-wheel drive, which is found on the concept.

The Kizashi 3 concept has a powerful, planted stance, a short front overhang and 21 inch wheels. They are  going to go away by the time the new sedan comes to the road, but they enhance the performance image Suzuki is striving for with Kizashi 3.

A big front grill, shared with the other Kizashi concept cars, distinctly points Suzuki's new design focus. Exterior design cues are supposed to draw from the victorious GSX-R sport bike line, which would add some sporting credibility to the new sedan. So Kizashi 3 looks just great, especially the real Lexus-like dual exhaust outlets. It's in a pig's eye this particular feature will make production, so enjoy it while you are able to.

The next production sedan will be the flagship vehicle for the Suzuki brand and will be approximately the same size as a Honda Accord or Toyota Camry once it reaches the market.

But anyway we 'll have to wait for the production car to arrives sometime before 2010 to check it for sure. According to Suzuki, it plans to introduce the production sedan to the United States market by 2010, its first step into the larger B-segment sedan range. The production version will be produced at the automaker's new Sagara, Japan, plant. Suzuki has already declared that it will manufacture 3 versions of the Kizashi - a wagon, CUV and sedan. The Kizashi and Kizashi 2 showcased the wagon and CUV body styles, respectively, so look for the newest concept to preview the sedan's design.
